My Shibori weekend

by | Jan 22, 2021 | Creative, Culture | 0 comments

I finally got to try my hand at Shibori, the Japanese die dying technique! Never mind that I purchased this indigo dye way back in 2015, and it’s only taken me a good 6 years to find the time to play!!! And never mind that these items are month late, Christmas gifts. But you know I had to choose the most complicated folding & stitching method, for my mom’s Tunic Top. I also made a Men’s Hemp Tee for my brother in law, hemp kids tee for my nephew, and a few random pieces of woven fabric. As long as I’ve dreamed about  doing this, I never have.. So you know I studied! Really wanted to get a nice deep Indigo. I’m pretty happy with the outcome! Now that all the gifts are done, I’m thinking about doing a pair of pants for myself.  Maybe Dance Pants..
